"This poem is inspired by the disconnect which exists today between communication, perception, and reality.  The poem reflects on the corruption of symbolism and representation, and their consequential loss of meaning.  It also reflects on the awareness beginning to emerge that in the end actual reality is where every bit of meaning rests."
